Frequently Asked Questions

Regular chimney sweeping removes dangerous soot and creosote build-up to prevent chimney fires. It also stops harmful fumes from entering your home and improves your appliance's heating efficiency.
-
Most chimneys need sweeping once a year based on average use and fuel quality, however if it is your primary heat source you may need at least two sweeps per year. Check your property insurance as many policies require at least one annual sweep to remain valid.
